William J. Karlheim, 66 , Canton, OH, formerly of Patton, passed away. He was born November 18, 1959 in Carrolltown, the son of the late James “JJ” and Mary E. (Donaldson) Karlheim.

He is survived by brothers and sisters: Elaine (Ronald) Allison, Stephen (Brenda) Karlheim, Daniel (Sandy) Karlheim, Janet (Duane) Bender, Ronald Karlheim, Robert Karlheim, Nancy (Eric) White, James E. Karlheim and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents and a brother David Charles in infancy.

William was a 1977 graduate of Cambria Height High School. He then graduated from Harry S Lundbeberg School of Seafarers Piney Point Maryland in 1980.

William retired from the Merchant Marines after many years of service.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, by Benedictine Fathers.

Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
