Virginia L. “Jean” Crowell, 76, Patton, passed away July 11, 2020 at UPMC Altoona, following an extended illness. She was born January 16, 1944 in Spangler, the daughter of John and Theresa (Frederick) Polisky. She was preceded in death by her father, infant daughter, sister Shirley Vallery and brother John Polisky, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Hastings; husband James R. Crowell, whom she married May 6, 1968; sister Theresa Moore, Carrolltown and several nieces and nephews. She worked at CAB Blind and Handicapped Center, Ebensburg and as a cafeteria working in Lemoyne, Pa. Jean was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton and the Red Hat Society. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, by Benedictine Fathers. Committal St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
