Obituary For Thomas M. Price

Thomas M. Price

February 5, 1949-March 10, 2026

Thomas M. Price, 77, of Patton, passed away Tuesday afternoon at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Spangler, the son of the late Edward and Gertrude (Bott) Price.

Tom married Marlene Ann Gresko on October 7, 1972 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Patton, she preceded him in death on October 28, 2020.

Surviving Tom is his loving daughter, Gretchen Marie, wife of Jon Shub of Mandeville, LA and two grandsons: Jack Thomas and Henry Charles.

He was preceded in death by three stepsiblings: Ruth Urbain and Louis and Donald Price.

Tom was a graduate of Cambria Heights High School and Williamsport Technical Institute.

He retired as a cost estimator and drafter for Nittany Building, DeGol and Penn Installations.

Tom was a faithful member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, where he served at the daily Mass; was a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and CCD Director.

Tom was actively living his fourth day as a member of the Cursillo movement and was an Oblate of St. Benedict. He was active in Prison Ministries and the Knights of Columbus.

Tom loved his faith, and spending time with his dear friends and especially being T-Tom to Jack and Henry.

Friends will be received from 4-8 pm, Monday, March 16, 2026 at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 1004 Fifth Avenue, Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 907 6th Avenue, Patton, with Fr. Ananias OSB, celebrant.

Committal will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.

The family kindly requests contributions be made in Tom’s memory to: Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 907, 6th Avenue, Patton, PA 16668.

    My deepest sympathy goes out to Gretchen and her family, along with the siblings of Tom and Marlene. I loved the faith my brother in Christ had and may Tom rest with Mother Mary, The Lord Jesus and the Saints.
