The passing of Ruth greatly saddens me. She was part of our neighborhood for as long as I can remember. A great caring neighbor to everyone. She was the comfort and support for our family as we dealt with the tragic loss of our Dad, Matthew Bakale And again the same comfort and support for Ann and Dennis Bakale (my mother and brother) in the passing of Gary Bakale (my brother). Her presence was the light in our darkest times. Ruth, may you rest in peace and forever in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. My deepest sympathies to Patty and all family members. Patty...I'm happy to have had the opportunity to chat with your Mom at a chance meeting in Ebg during my Mom's last years....she proudly told me about her family since I've last had contact with you. I have happy memories of our early years. I think of you often & will keep you in my heart...Jan (Wilshire) Kupchella

My deepest sympathy to you her family and all her friends. I lost a wonderful, kind friend that I've known for so many years . She was so knowledgeable on so many things and could always make me laugh. I'm going to miss her so much.

She was like a second Mom to me; as we were neighbors. Her daughter Patty, was my best friend growing up next door. Ruth was always looking out for the both of us .After grade school Patty and I would walk home and stop by the A& P to say we were on our way home. I will never forget those memories.

Will alway cherish you as my mom and a woman with so much faith and spirit. You lived a good life sharing your talents with others. You filled a spot in my life when I thought it was too big to fill. I know heaven is brighter now and you leave behind a light for us to follow. Love you Mom Jeanette Semonich.

So sad to hear of Ruth's passing. Ruth was an important presence in my childhood. I don't remember Ruth not being there in our neighborhood. She was a fixture in our neighborhood. A good and caring neighbor. She would call if we accidentally left a night light on or just to check up on us. Always willing to offer help and/ or comfort. She was a good friend and comfort to my mother Ann Bakale and brother Dennis Bakale during their dark moments in life. It's going to be hard to imagine the void Ruth leaves in my life, my family's and the neighborhood. RIP Ruth. Prayers and thoughts to Patty and the entire family.
