Obituary For Ronald T. Weaver

Ronald T. “Ron” Weaver, 76, Patton, passed away February 18, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 30, 1944 in Spangler, the son of Francis and Anna Mary (Long) Weaver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law’s Cathy (Gregory) Carroll and Maude Weaver. He is survived by his wife Carol (Gregory) Weaver, whom he married November 26, 1966, children: Michele Strazisar, Pittsburgh; Doug (Christine) Weaver, Oxford, Pa; grandchildren: Megan Strazisar, Emily Weaver, Abigail Weaver, brothers Richard (Madeline) Weaver, NC; Albert Weaver, SC and several nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Sunoco Logistics after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Patton Fire Company, where he was a former Vice President, line captain, assistant chief and fire police. Ron enjoyed woodworking, playing the guitar, camping, fishing, horseshoes, snowmobile riding, geocaching, playing baseball and softball. At Ron’s request, there will be no visitation. All are welcome to attend the funeral Mass 11:00 am Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton by Rev. Jude W. Brady, OSB. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
