Obituary For Ronald F. Rosian

Ronald F. Rosian, 74, Patton, passed away January 10, 2024 at UPMC Altoona. He was born April 12, 1949 in Colver son of the late Frederick J. and Dora A. (Gobert) Rosian. He is survived by his wife Linda L. (Gilfert) Rosian whom he married April 14, 1973, children Michele Rosian, Cindy (Tim) Rupert, Ronald F. (Danielle) Rosian Jr. all of Patton, grandchildren Katelyn, Vincent, Vanessa and Vance, sister Kathy M. (Walter) Fieser, Johnstown, aunt Eleanor Baker, Patton and several nieces and nephews. Ron was a graduate of Cambria Heights and received an associates degree in welding from Triangle Tech. He served with the US Army as a military policeman during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong farmer and a retired coal miner. He attended Calvary Evangelical Church, Westover and was a member of the Carrolltown American Legion Post 506. Ron enjoyed farming and antique tractors. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday January 16, 2024 at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 N. fifth Ave. Patton. A memorial service will be held 11 am Wednesday January 17, 2024 at Calvary Evangelical Church, Westover. Pastor Jim Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Camp Bahama or World Gospel Missions.     I am sorry to hear of Ron's passing Linda. You and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Worked with Ron in the mines. Good man for sure. He will be missed.

    I knew Ron had some health issues, yet news of his passing surprised me. I am happy that he had such an interest in our CH Class of 67, participated in our Luncheon meetings and attended our class reunion this past summer along with you always by his side Linda.     I am really sorry for your loss. Even though it had been over 50 years since we had seen each other as army buddies it was so good to reconnect even though it was just over the phone. I really enjoyed our conversations over the last few years and catching up.Doug Ontrop
