Richard J. Stasko, Jr., 68, Patton passed away unexpectedly March 23, 2021 at home. He was born September 8, 1952 in Colver, the son of Richard J. and Mary E. (LaJudice) Stasko, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Sanford J. Stasko, brother-in-laws John Goldian, Pat Nelen, Jim Nelen and father and mother-in-law Marinus and Verla Nelen. He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie (Nelen) Stasko, whom he married May 18, 1974; children: Christi (Walter) Swarden, Jr., La Jose; Brad Stasko, Craig Stasko and Jenny Stasko, all of Patton; brothers and sisters Karen Goldian, Hastings; Brian (Karen) Stasko, Hastings; Mary Jo (Jim) Bogus, Carrolltown; Kevin (Lori) Stasko, Patton; Jean Ann (Tony) Kline, Hastings; Stephen (Patty) Stasko, Montana and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Richard was previously employed as a heavy equipment mechanic with New Enterprise. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue Patton. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, at the funeral home, by Rev. Jerzy Auguscik, O.F.M. Interment St. Augustine Cemetery.
