Obituary For Philip R. Warefield
Philip R. Warefield, 88, Patton passed away August 21, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 7, 1933 in Patton, the son of John F. and Margaret E. (Biter) Warefield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Clara (Woodling) Warefield, whom he married October 4, 1952, three daughters in infancy, Sissy and twin girls; daughter, Diane Warefield Lechene; brothers, John Warfield, Henry Warfield, William Warefield; sister, Anna Hartman; granddaughter Stacie Mihalow Sheikh. He is survived by children: Raymond (Karen) Warfield, Irvona; Margaret (Andrew) Mihalow, Patton; Terry L. Warefield, Patton; Jerry L. Warefield, Patton; Barbara (Joseph) Storm, Patton; fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Philip was employed at Davis Brake Beam for 35 years and co-owned and operated a service station in Patton and the original Warefield Auto Wreckers in St. Boniface with his brother Henry. He later owned and operated Warefield Auto Wreckers in Patton. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton. Philip enjoyed automobiles and his Koi fishing pond. Family and Friends will be received Monday, 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, 2:00-4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue, Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Wednesday, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton. Committal St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
