Mary Emily Petrunyak, 94, Ebensburg, formerly of Patton passed away January 9, 2021 at Cambria Care Center. She was born July 18, 1926 in Hastings, the daughter of Raymond and Ada (Stoltz) Yahner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emery L. Petrunyak, Sr.; brother Mitchell; sisters Ramona Bortman, Cecelia Murphy (Cairns); children Gary and Larry Petrunyak and grandson Joseph Petrunyak. She is survived by children: Emery L. (Heidi) Peturnyak, Jr., Duncansville; Linda Duclos, Patton; Debbie (Albert) Litzinger, Sidman, several grandchildren, great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Elaine Petrunyak and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a graduate of Patton High School. Mary was formerly employed at the Van Heusen Shirt Factory, then obtained her Practical Nursing degree and later was employed at Warnaco Clothing Factory. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton and the Patton VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mary enjoyed walking and swimming. At Mary’s request, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton by Rev. Jeremiah G. Lange, OSB. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
