Obituary For Lois C. Bearer

Lois C. Bearer, 92, Patton, passed away August 29, 2021 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. She was born March 26, 1929 in Ashville, the daughter of Oscar and Helen (Sanker) Montgomery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph B. Bearer, on August 15, 2005. They were married on September 28, 1957. Also preceded by her brother Joseph Montgomery and sisters and their husbands Marilyn A. (Jake) Henry and Jean (Regis) Wirfel. She is survived by her sister-in-law Eunice Montgomery, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was retired from the Eaglewear Shirt Factory in Gallitzin where she worked for 44 ½ years. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Patton. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue, Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 11 am Thursday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, by Benedictine Fathers. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton. Memorial donations may be made to the Patton Volunteer Fire Company or the Patton Public Library .
