Lawrence S. “Larry” Urban, 79, a resident of Maple Heights Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Ebensburg, formerly of Patton, passed away January 13, 2025 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. He was born May 4, 1945 in Beaverdale the son of Andrew and Mary (Yuhas) Urban Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Andrew Urban Jr., Virginia Urban and Marion Single. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Diane (Welchko) Urban, Patton; step-daughter Tammy (Ron) Moffitt, Springfield, VA; step grandchildren Alex, Kayla and Isabella Moffitt; brother Steven (Krysten) Urban, Vashon, WA and several nieces and nephews. Larry was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was employed at Ebensburg Center for many years until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching Pittsburgh Steelers and Forest Hills football games. Family and friends will be received from Noon until the 2 pm funeral service Saturday at First Baptist Church of Ebensburg. Pastor Jared Bowling officiating. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Patton.
