Obituary For Kenneth W. Miller

Kenneth W. Miller, 73, Patton passed away May 14, 2021. He was born July 28, 1947 in Spangler, the son of Walter and Emma C. (Cunningham) Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Melissa; brothers David Miller, Gary Miller, Leonard Miller and sister Janet Ghuste. He is survived by his former wife Edith (Schenk) Miller; children Kenneth J. (Marie) Miller, Fort Meade, MD; Kevin M. Miller, Carrolltown; Aliyah Miller, grandchildren Ryan and Ashley Miller; brothers and sisters Alvin “Jake” Miller, Patton; Patrick Miller, Patton; Marjorie Fox-Gibson, Star City, WV; Pamela (Dr. Ben Morgan) Jones, Flinton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, then continued to serve in the Army Guard after his discharge. Ken formerly work for Barnes and Tucker as a coal miner and then for Seven D Industries, Patton. He was a lifetime member of Patton VFW, Patton American Legion and served with their military funeral detail and Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. At Ken’s request, services will be private. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Patton. Full military rites will be accorded by John White VFW Post 779 and Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614.
