John Fredrick Berish

October 13, 1962 – January 7, 2026

John Fredrick Berish, 63, Patton, passed away Wednesday evening after a three-year battle with lung cancer.

John was born in Spangler, son of George and Elizabeth (Noakes) Berish.

On November 22, 2003, he married Judy Gregory.

He is survived by his loving wife; a son, John A Berish; a stepson, Jonathan Leonard; a grandson, Jacob; and five siblings: Mary Earnest, Janet Gisler, George Berish, Jr., Sue Raab, and Barbara Berish.

John was preceded in death by a brother, Fredrick Berish.

He was a graduate of Cambria Heights High School and was previously a mechanic for Rabits Auto.

John was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

He enjoyed working on and painting cars and was a member of the Glendale Auto Club.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 11 a.m. until a Noon funeral service at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc, 1004 N. Fifth Avenue, Patton, PA 16668 with Rev. Fr. Ananias Buccicone, OSB officiating.

Committal will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
