Jean Ann Fitzpatrick, 81, Cresson, formerly of Patton, passed away January 20, 2025 at UPMC, Altoona. She was born January 24, 1943 in Patton the daughter of John and Bertha (Waugh) Berish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Fitzpatrick, brother Daniel Berish and sister Rose Marie Berish. She is survived by her children, John C. (Tracy) Fitzpatrick, Imler; Tina (Rob) Barrientes, Columbus, OH; Sharon (Gary) Yingling, Morrisdale; Christine (Christopher) Pompa, Johnstown, Jennifer (Bob) DiGilarmo, Dillsburg; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was employed at Barnesboro shirt factory for 44 years until her retirement. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church , Patton, VFW Post 779, Patton and was an avid bingo player. At Jean’s request there will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date at Queen of Peace Church, Patton. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to Meals on Wheels. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Patton.
