Helen A. (Patrick) Schenk, 86, Altoona, formerly of Loretto, passed away on October 10, 2025 at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Born March 13, 1939 in Portage, PA daughter of Frank and Antoinette (Enick) Patrick. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Albin Henry Schenk, married July 30, 1960 at St. Joseph’s Church in Portage, PA; and brother, Francis Patrick. She is survived by children, Patricia (John) Choros and Pamela (John) Crowell; and grandchildren, Miranda and Sierra Crowell. Helen was a 1957 graduate of Cresson Joint High School and worked as a Nurse’s Aide. She loved cats, country music, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Per Helen’s request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Stroke Association.
