Obituary For Glenn R. Stratton

Glenn R. Stratton
January 4, 1956 – June 26, 2026

Glenn R. Stratton, 70, of Patton, died Friday at his residence. He was born in Spangler, son of the late Karl and Nancy (Sharp) Stratton. He married his high school sweetheart Cynthia A. “Cindy” Johnson on June 24, 1976.
Glenn is survived by his wife of fifty years , Cindy, his three children: Christel Routch (Daniel) of Elton, Shawn Stratton (Amanda) of Summerhill and Jesse Stratton (Jodi) of Johnstown; six grandchildren: Bailey, Logan, Taylerre, Rory, Annora and Hailey; two great grandchildren: Emberly and Remy; and a brother Thomas Stratton of Frederick, MD. He was also survived by a brother in law John Johnson (Danna) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister in law Karen Stratton.
Glenn was a graduate of Northern Cambria High School. He retired as a laborer after a long career in mining and various other fields. He was raised in St. John’s United Methodist Church in Barnesboro, had been a member of Patton Presbyterian Church and most recently was an Associate Member of Trinity United Methodist Church Patton.
Glenn was an animal lover, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and being outdoors, he loved to read and share his books and stories with his family and was known for his great sense of humor.
Friends will be received from 10 am to noon on Thursday July 2, 2026 at Trinity United Methodist Church 501 Beech Ave. Patton where a Funeral service will immediately follow at noon by Pastor Gary Grau. Interment will take place at Barnesboro Cemetery.
