Obituary For Dorothy J. Sullivan

Dorothy J. Sullivan, 91, Patton passed away September 17, 2022 at Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 25, 1930 in Spangler, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Yencho) Haluska. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Sullivan, brothers Emery, Joseph, Ted, sisters Mary Louise Zurenko and Betty Jane Semelsberger. She is survived by children: Cathy (Donald) Drass, Hastings; Tom (Jane) Sullivan, Patton; Charlotte (Robert) Drass, Robinson Twp.; grandchildren: Brian Drass, Melissa Griak, Brenda Serbicki, Barbara McGinley; great grandchildren: Tyler Drass, Kaitlyn Drass, Courtney Drass, Jacob and Alexis Griak, Austin McAnulty, John Brendan Serbicki and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Dorothy previously worked at the Patton Box and Shirt Factory, Box Factory, Altoona and was co-owner of the Fifth Avenue Hotel, Patton from 1975-1992. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton and Altar Rosary Society. She was well known for her pizza and fish recipes. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 N. Fifth Avenue Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Wednesday, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton by Benedictine Fathers. Committal St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
