Obituary For Doris Lacue

Doris Lacue, 95, Patton, passed away May 2, 2023 at UPMC Altoona. She was born October 22, 1927 in Patton, the daughter of Adam and Minnie (Ziros) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Lacue, whom she was married to for 45 years, sister, Helen Myers and grandson, Joey Bearer. She is survived by her loving children: Mary Ann (Chris) Horne, Edinboro; Joseph (Sharon) Lacue, Patton; Albert “Hap” (Erin) Lacue, Patton; Michele (Ken) Bearer, Hastings; grandchildren: Sara (Eric) Brannigan, Adam Lacue, Mandy (Cody Snyder) Lacue, David (Cristina) Horne, Jason (Carly) Horne, Meg (Ryan Hoover) Bearer, Tom Bearer, Kevin Lacue and Shawn Lacue; great grandchildren: Lauren, Peter, Calvin, Leah and Adeline; sister, Ann Samhuber and several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Patton High School and spent her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Doris was a former member of St. George’s Church choir, a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, where she sang in the choir and the Centennial choir. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking and baking. Friends and family will be received from 4-8 pm, Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Friday, at Queen of Peace Church, Patton by Benedictine Fathers. Committal Fairview Cemetery, Patton. Although it has been many years for some of you since our paths haave crossed, memories of your family and baby sitting (especially trying to find and keep track of Hap) are fond and bonding.
