Dawn Louise Anderson Kovaloski, a devoted mother and homemaker, passed away peacefully at her home in Hernando, Mississippi, surrounded by loving family on February 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on March 1, 1971, in Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania. Dawn was a proud graduate of Cambria Heights Senior High School in Patton, PA, where she made lasting memories and friendships that would stay with her throughout her life.
After completing her education, she devoted herself to her family, nurturing and supporting them with unparalleled love and dedication.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Kovaloski, and their three children: daughters, Natasha Faith Kovaloski (Jaylen Davis) and Catrena Dawn Kovaloski, both of Hernando, MS, and son, Hunter James Kovaloski, along with his wife Baylee, of Bowling Green, KY. Dawn was also a doting grandmother to Elijah James Davis, who brought her immense joy. Her mother, Shirley Anderson of Patton; along with her sisters: Deborah Kelly and her husband Steve of Ohio, Chrissy Irwin of Pa, Terri Torres and her husband Mike of New Mexico, Emily Jolly (Scott) of Pa, and Beth Miller and her husband Mike of Ohio, will carry forward her memory.
Dawn was preceded in death by her father, David Anderson.
Friends will be received from 9:30-11:30 am, Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Stevens Funeral Home, 1004 N. Fifth Avenue, Patton, PA 16668. The memorial Mass will follow at noon at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 907 6th Avenue, Patton, PA 16668, with Fr. Ananias Buccicone, OSB, celebrant.
Committal will be held at Fairview Cemetery in La Jose, PA.
Dawn's warmth, kindness, and strength will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and dedication to her family will continue to inspire those left behind.
