David E. Eckenrode, 79, Patton passed away January 18, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. He was born June 24, 1941 in Patton, the son of Earl A. and Mae L. (Lowes) Eckenrode. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Judith (Powell) Eckenrode, whom he married January 16, 1971; children Michael Eckenrode (Shannon Lynch), Patton; Kimberly Solomon, Baltimore, MD; Jennifer Eckenrode (Nate Latterner), Anaheim, CA; grandchildren Brandon Solomon, Ethan Eckenrode, Erin Eckenrode; sister Patricia L. Eckenrode; cousins Cande Morphin, Donna Pellas and Pat Eckenrode. He was a graduate of Patton High School. David was formerly employed with several state agencies before retiring as an inspector from PA DEP Protection after many years of service. He was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Patton. Dave was an avid stamp collector and classic automotive enthusiast. Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Patton by Pastor Gary Grau. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Patton.
