Obituary For Clare A. Quevy

Clare Aline (Schettig) Quevy, 97, Patton, passed away August 21, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 23, 1926 in Carrolltown, the daughter of Walter D. and Catherine (Farabaugh) Schettig. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julian “Bucky” Quevy, daughters, Sharon Paronish, Diane Niebauer; sons-in-law, Daniel Pompa, Ben Niebauer; brothers, Paul and Earl Schettig; sisters, Helen DeAgostino, Lucinda J. Schettig, Mary C. Valevich, Rose Lesnak and Edna Rita Schettig. She is survived by her loving children: Paul (Linda) Quevy; Barbara Pompa; son-in-law Nestor Paronish; grandchildren: Michele (Les) Jennings, Paul (Shelly) Quevy, Danny Pompa, Chris (Christine) Pompa, Mike (Shannon) Pompa, Mark (Kate) Pompa, Nestor Paronish, Stacie (Ron) Chuhran, Julie Formeck, Shari (Jesse) McConnell, Noah (Tasha) Paronish, Lena Hnatkovich, Kelly Hnatkovich, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton. Clare enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping and watching sports. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 North Fifth Avenue Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Friday, August 25, 2023 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, by Benedictine Fathers. Committal St. Benedict Cemetery, Carrolltown. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 907 6th Avenue Patton, Pa.     To Paul and Family: Sorry for the Loss of Your Mom. She is now in A Better Place called Heaven as an Angel with Your Dad. She is now looking down upon us all watching over us all. She is no longer suffering now that God has called her home. You and Your Family and Mom will be in my thoughts and prayers. May her Light Shine down upon You All.
