Cheryl A. Loughran, 78, Hastings, formerly of Patton, passed away October 23,2024 at Haida Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 8, 1946 in Altoona the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth Ann (Dietrich) Volk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Allen Volk and her sister Mary Ruth Mishler. She is survived by her loving husband Anslem J. Loughran, son Joseph A. “Joe” Loughran (Tina Cinko), daughter-in-law Natalie R. Loughran, grandchildren Sabrina L. (Jake) Kirsch, Joseph A. Loughran II, Courtney R. Loughran (Jared Shank), brother in law Edward Mishler, nephew Eric M.(Julie) Mishler and great niece Shelby L. (Todd) Wilson. Cheryl was previously employed at the Van Huesen shirt factory and spent her life as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Patton Trinity Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She enjoyed reading romance novels, watching thunderstorms on the front porch, playing bingo and shopping with her sister and spending time with her grandchildren. Cheryl loved her family and friends fiercely and she will be deeply missed forever. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 pm Monday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 1004 N. Fifth Ave. Patton, PA 16668. A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday at Patton Trinity Methodist Church. Rev. Gary Grau officiating. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
