The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the people of Patton. Due to their kindness and caring, Bill enjoyed his dignity and personal freedom much longer than normally possible due to his illness. We were blessed to have the entire town looking out for his best interests. We would also like to thank his caregivers Maria Kearney of Cresson, Pa. and Maura Turner of Titusville, Pa. We wanted him to have Quality of life over Quantity and that would not have been possible without all of you. At his request there will be no viewing or funeral services. Bill asked that a Celebration of Life be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Patton. You may leave online condolences at or on our Stevens Family Funeral Homes Facebook page.

Uncle Bill, thank you for being a wonderful godfather to me growing up. Enjoyed spending holidays at your home in Patton as a child & eating your delicious chili in Canada. It was fun having you as a high school teacher as well. Rest In Peace now. Lori Crowell
