Alberta “Bertie” Holtz

October 29, 1926-July 16, 2026

Alberta “Bertie” Holtz, 99, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Patton, passed away July 16, 2026 at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg.

She was born, October 29, 1926 in Patton, the daughter of the late Jacob and Victoria (Tokash) Kielbowick.

Alberta is preceded in death by her husband, Clement B. Holtz, who passed away April 4, 2004; daughter, Denise M. Weakland Paronish; grandson, Michael Weakland, Jr.; sisters, Mary Kline and Frances Kline; six brothers and son-in-law, Michael Weakland, Sr.

She is survived by children: Dianne L. Litzinger, Patton; Donna J. (Peter) Kashuk, Johnstown, OH; seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Stok, Cadiz, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alberta was a 1946 graduate of Patton High School.

She worked at the Van Huesen Shirt Factory, Patton for many years and retired from Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton and enjoyed country music, sewing and baking.

Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 1004 North Fifth Avenue, Patton, Pa 16668, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held 11 am Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 907 6th Avenue, Patton, by Benedictine Fathers.

Committal St. Lawrence Cemetery, Patton.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Garvey Manor Nursing Home 1037 S. Logan Blvd., Hollidaysburg, Pa 16648 in Bertie’s memory.
