Agnes M. Wilshire

Agnes M. Wilshire, 107, Carrolltown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on September 28, 2026. She was born March 12, 1919 in Cymbria, Pa, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Sherwin) Weakland.

She married Albert Wilshire and he preceded her in death in 1982.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Amelia (Richard) Cence, Carrolltown; six grandchildren: Sean (Marina) Kenaan, Daniel (Laura) Kenaan, Brian (Brandy) Cence, Christopher (Sarah) Cence, Jason (Heather) Wilshire, Megan (Chris) Dupuis; nine great grandchildren: Kaitlyn Kenaan, Lauren Kenaan, Nicole Kenaan, Emmi Cence, Gavin Cence, Ella Cence, Eva Cence, Jameson Wilshire, Kaley Dupuis, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Agnes was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton; Patton Senior Citizens Center and Patton Pavers. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Kenaan, son in law, Robert Kenaan; son, Albert “Jerry” and his wife, Alice Wilshire; brothers, Samuel, Irvin, Walter, Joseph Weakland and sister, Betty Cook.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 1004 North Fifth Avenue, Patton , Pa 16668, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, October 2, 2026 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 907 Sixth Avenue Patton, Pa 16668, by Benedictine Fathers. Committal St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Conemaugh Hospice for their compassionate care to her and her entire family.
